The Mother's Pause
A nurturing ritual for mothers to slow down, be held and receive.
You spend your days caring for everyone else.
Holding the baby. Remembering the appointments. Carrying the mental load.
Looking after others needs.
The Mother's Pause is a space where, for once, someone cares for you.
2 hours · Bristol and Surroundings
We spend months celebrating the Baby.
The Mother's Pause is a chance to honour the Mother too.
After birth, so much attention naturally turns to the baby.
Yet many mothers continue carrying so much behind the scenes.
The mental load.
The responsibility.
The constant giving.
The Mother's Pause is a two-hour nurturing ritual created to offer something many mothers rarely receive: care, presence and space for themselves.
It is not a massage.
It is not therapy.
It is a space to slow down, be cared for.
Remember that you matter too

You struggle to slow down and receive.

What to know before your pause

Mary Coquaz
Postpartum Doula · Bristol
As a postpartum doula, I have met many mothers who spend their days caring for everyone else while quietly carrying so much themselves.
The Mother's Pause was born from a simple question:
Who cares for the mother?
This ritual is my invitation for mothers to slow down, feel held and receive the same care they so freely give to others.
